S & A had been looking for a few months on their own after selling their home on the other side of town. Wanted to be closer to family. They required a bigger family home, some land, ideally renovated and close to transport.

Buying Journey Summary:

With a good brief and budget we started off well and found a few good options to consider. We were unsuccessful on two properties, one at a boardroom Auction, on zoom and the other at the property in Surrey Hills when they bought it forward a week. Both good properties but unfortunately didn’t fall our way. We then settled on Camberwell as the suburb of choice. I got to work, did some research, spoke to a number of agents and we decided Fordham Ave was the one for them. A nervous few weeks leading up to the Auction, multiple inspections, a building inspection and meetings to determine what we believe the property was worth. A big crowd was at the Auction, 5 bidders which showed we were buying quality real estate. We ended up securing the home well and the client is going to be very happy living there. A family friendly location, close to parks, gardens, cafes and transport. Its a very nice area. Through my agent relationships, I was guided well during the process which enabled me to position my client in such a way that we were going to be competitive. Without the knowledge and experience in the market, I am fairly sure my client would not have been able to secure this home under the stress of an Auction with 5 bidders.
